I can't remember her name, but I know the origin of their painting style came from an unbelievable quilt that she made their first child. I think they were American? Or lived in America? The early style of the paintings is almost grid like and is about color and light variation. I believe later her husband's style explored other patterns.
I also know he died relatively young and she ended up being a relatively prominent textile designer after. I believe she died in the '80s or '90s.
