Textured Walls
Use different painting techniques to form textured walls for office decoration. Textured walls enhance the room by providing additional depth to the area. For example, add sand or glass to paint to form a grainy texture. Perhaps mix a small amount of plaster with paint and apply with a mop to form abstract lines and raised surfaces.
Splatter Paint
Splatter painting unleashes the built-up emotions within the painter while providing color and vibrancy to an office. Paint a neutral tone base coat on the wall. Learning how to use a color wheel minimizes the chance of selecting colors that do not go together. Alternate spattering paints of either complementary or contrasting colors to the wall.
Stencil Painting
For offices with a particular theme, stencil painting is an option for theme continuity. Paint a border with the stencils at the top of the wall. Paint a second border at the bottom of the wall for large offices. Randomly position stencils, and paint the main part of the wall if there is a desire for additional color and wall decoration.
Mural Painting
Murals often tell a story based on a particular theme. Many murals consume an entire wall. Drawing mural sections with a pencil using stencils and precut patterns is the easiest way to go. Painting is a simple task once the basic design is outlined on the wall. Select a wall that is the focal point of the office for the mural. Paint the other walls a neutral complementing color. For example, paint a coral reef with vibrant oceanic wildlife forms. Paint the other walls a pale, light blue complementary color.
Color Separation
Large spacious offices benefit from paint color separation. Divide the office into specific sections. For example, an office may have computer, printing and filing areas. Using the color wheel, select complementary paint colors in either bold or soft hues. Paint the wall sections near each area with a different color paint to help set apart the designated areas while offering color to the office.
