How to Decorate a Boy's Nursery Without Painting

0 votes
Painting a little boy's nursery isn't always possible, especially if you have limited time or live in a rental home or apartment that forbids painting the walls. Thankfully, you can still create color and embrace any nursery theme without ever opening a can of paint. Choose a theme or color scheme that you want to go with and then make plans accordingly. Safari, nautical, cartoon and contemporary themes all work well for a baby boy's nursery.

Write down what type of theme or color scheme you want to create and make a list of the items you'll need such as toys, wall stickers, bedding and other nursery decor items.

    2
Attach large colorful wall stickers on each wall to create color and dress up plain white walls. You can find all sorts of small, medium and large wall stickers for nearly any theme. A large train wall sticker goes well with a train theme, while a boat or sea theme symbols such as seashells and star fish work well for a nautical theme. (See the resources section to find wall stickers that look like a fancy mural or decorative paint job).

    3
Hang up framed pictures fitting your theme on two or more walls within the nursery. Adding pictures creates a stylish look while also bringing color into the room.

    4
Place one or more fake plants in the corner of the nursery to add more greenery to your baby boy's nursery. A small fake palm tree or fern plant can really add new life to a nursery with white walls.

    5
Adorn your child's crib with colorful blue, green or patterned bedding that matches the theme of the room.
