I am a big admirer of traditional Chinese paintings, some of my favorite painters being Liang Kai, Ni Zan, Shen Zhou and Zhu Da. I want to find out if there is any site or book or something where I could find translations of the calligraphy of famous paintings. It seems most have poems and I think that being able to read them would give me more perspectives to see the painting from - they were written for a reason. i've also seen some paintings whose texts seem too short to be poems, such as this one http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/images/hb/hb_L.1997.30.jpg
I'm still astonished that even the short essayes I have founs of certain paintings do not attempt to translate the calligraphic poems. Any help would be much appreciated :)
