Accidentally spilled some wax on my canvas?

I was working on an art project for school, and then I accidentally spilled some crayon wax (which was wet) on my canvas. The piece is supposed to be with ink, not wax, so I couldn't really try to fit it in with my piece. I was thinking of using white paint to cover it up? Not a lot spilled; it only spilled around the sides and corners of the canvas, but it's still very noticeable. The wax already dried up and i am not sure what to do. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks!

You can boil the wax out.

Just submerge the canvas in boiling water, it'll melt the wax out of the threads.

it's how you do batik.
