Photography or fine art, the principles of composition are the same. For future paintings, suggest you not divide your canvas into symmetrical portions-you've got the horizon exactly in the middle of the canvas, the smoke stack (and its reflection) dividing the canvas in two vertically. The color scheme is very nice. To sell on the internet, be sure to list medium, substrate, all dimensions and take a high resolution, digital (12 megapixel or higher) color photo. Don't forget to figure protective packaging, shipping and insurance into the price. You can also try galleries, but be prepared for a lot of rejection until you have an established reputation. Also look into sales of prints or giclees, and one-time rights to magazine publishers. Not trying to discourage a career in fine art, but do be realistic about the competition (it's tough) and be prepared for a lot of rejection.
