Michelangelo has One known self-portrait. He painted himself as Saint Bartholomew in the "Last Judgment" behind the altar in the Sistine Chapel. Since St. Bart was skinned, Michelangelo paints himself as just a human skin, all floppy, and folding over. Michelangelo appears just below, and to the right of Jesus (who is the huge guy in the middle of the painting). He appears in the form of just a human skin, held up by another image of St. Bart. Only the skin is Michelangelo.

Raphael painted Michelangelo as the Ancient Greek Philosopher Heraclitus in his famous mural "The School of Athens" Michelangelo is the man in the foreground, just left of the center of the painting. He wears a purple/brown tunic, and rests his elbow on a stone bench while writing.
