Paul Cezanne
Paul Cezanne began painting his incredible artwork in the 19th century, but his work carries far over into the work of today, as it has laid the groundwork for many of today’s artists. Born in January 19, 1839, Paul Cezanne was brought up a rich child. As his father was a co-owner of a very wealthy banking firm. Paul Cezanne was able to be enrolled in an art school at the age of 13, where he began creating his own version of masterpieces. Although different from the time, the vivid colors that he used stood out and were highly appreciated by absolutely everyone who saw the paintings. He continued at this school until 1856, when he decided that it was hi time to break away from the originality of the school and find his own style.
Throughout his self-made career Paul Cezanne began to develop his own style of painting. It include airy strokes that he observed while he watched the nature of the people around him and the fields that he was near. As he continued painting, his style became more and more recognizable, as it was easy to spot the brushstrokes from those around him. Paul Cezanne made his first exhibition in 1963 in the Salon des Refuses, but was turned down by this salon in the following years. Paul Cezanne continued to submit every panting he created until 1882, when he began to rise back up to popularity. In 1866, the Salon began to exhibit his paintings once more and the popularity of his style grew immensely.
Throughout the years after his work was shown in the exhibit, Paul Cezanne began to recluse himself and chose to be alone. This choice was of his own accord, as he wanted to be alone with his own masterpieces in order to bring forth what was in his mind onto paper without peering eyes to stand guard. This allows many people to see the darker side of the world in which Paul Cezanne lived, and can bring a sense of subtle indignation into any type of room if you so choose to reveal this piece of the time period.
