Throughout the years, a variety of incredible artists that have gained popularity over the years (even though many were already popular while they were still alive) painted on multiple different religious subjects, about different religions all over the world.

Very few art styles are based on a single type of aspect, as even Cubism that was concerned with philosophy and showing the many different angles of a single object or individual on the same painting allowed each artist that painted in this style to pick and choose from a variety of different subjects, depending on the type of subject the artist was interested in. In contrast to many other styles of art, Byzantine Art paintings are mainly based around religious ideas and concepts, which does narrow down the overall type of viewership that the art style has. That being said, there is still a large following for paintings that are painted in the Byzantine style of art that are available currently, though many have been lost over the years and are no longer available for replication and purchase.

Byzantine art does vary depending on the artist, as many different theological concepts that were derived from the church are artistically illustrated onto the canvas through impersonal expression of the artist that was responsible for the painting. The Byzantine Art style and paintings originated in Italy, and lead to the development and expression of the Italian Renaissance throughout the twelfth century, leading a variety of different art styles are incredibly popular artists to spring forth and derive different unique art styles in order to create new art styles that are still used today.

There are four main church theological concepts that are used by this style of art, including those belonging to the Greek, Christian, Roman and Oriental religions. Depending on the artist that created each painting, many different interpretations are given for the same types of parables or other ideas that were from each religion that this art style concerns. Although some of the Byzantine Art paintings happened to concern other religions, most of these are not still popular today, as the ones that became popular spread throughout Europe and Asia due to interest in other countries by trade.

Byzantine Art is still an incredibly popular form of art, although very few painters still paint in unique Byzantine Art concepts. Many of the expressions and ideas that Byzantine Art incorporates has been developed into more modern art styles.
