Add elements of the company or organization mascot. You don't need a full representation. For example, if the mascot is a wolf, choose just the eyes and ears or a simple silhouette of the creature.

Don't be afraid of using white space. Leaving some areas open, white or blank can add to the design's appeal.

Add decorative elements into the letters to capitalize on space. Choose a wide or open font if you intend to decorate the inside of the letters. For example, add polka dots inside the lettering for a woman's clothing line or trendy fashion logo.

To prevent confusion, avoid popular color combinations associated with well-established companies. For example, red and yellow are commonly associated with the fast-food giant McDonald's.
