How to Paint & Decorate Logos

0 votes

A logo is a symbol the public will come to associate with your company or business. A well-crafted logo will convey the impression of a solid, established business. Use of color, white space, fonts and imagery play key roles in the design's effectiveness.
The mission of your business or organization will be a guiding force in designing the logo. Logos can be designed with computer programs or even a freehand drawing.

1
Use colors associated with your company or organization. If the logo is for a school, for example, use the school colors.

    2
Add elements of the company or organization mascot. You don't need a full representation. For example, if the mascot is a wolf, choose just the eyes and ears or a simple silhouette of the creature.

    3
Don't be afraid of using white space. Leaving some areas open, white or blank can add to the design's appeal.

    4
Add decorative elements into the letters to capitalize on space. Choose a wide or open font if you intend to decorate the inside of the letters. For example, add polka dots inside the lettering for a woman's clothing line or trendy fashion logo.

    5
To prevent confusion, avoid popular color combinations associated with well-established companies. For example, red and yellow are commonly associated with the fast-food giant McDonald's.
