What are paintings of women in early stage of pregnancy with hand on stomach?

I have a daguerreotype of a girl, perhaps 13 or 14 years old, with a hand placed over her stomach. Her smock-style dress flows outward, hinting that if she were pregnant, she might be starting to show. Her torso is turned toward the side light but she faces the camera with a serene expression, reminding me of paintings by Tintoretto or Raphael, which got me to wondering if the hand-on-belly pose was a common indication of newly pregnant ladies in portraiture.
Can anyone suggest paintings for comparison purposes?

Look at Van Eyck The Arnolfini Wedding, you will see the woman is in a similar pose. This picture is generally believed to be a form of marriage contract, the style of dressing, popular at the time giving the impression of a pregnancy; or else, as noted in the paragraph starting Although many viewers presume....... that this gesture, the hand over her stomach that you mention, might merely have been a way of showing the couple's desire to have children. So, no this pose may not be an indicationof newly pregnant ladies but of the wish of a couple to prove fertile.
