Is there any artist that who paint dark Gothic art?

Is there any good artist that who painted Gothic themed paintings? Mysterious and sorrowful sort of paintings.

The most famous artists who actually did art in the Gothic style were both illustrators. One is long dead (Aubrey Beardsley) and the other (Edward Gorey) died in 2000.
