I do decorative painting for friends and families, I also love to paint(oil,H20 color, pastels etc.),just want to find out how to charge for my work without under/over charging the client, any suggestions fr. the pros would be truly appreciated. Thanks.

There are two ways you can price a job: by the hour, or by the square foot. Depending on your client, you can have them choose which they would prefer.

But your hourly and sq. ft. price should differ based on the complexity of the work. Think about the value of your work and your time. Try and figure out how long it will take you to complete and how much materials will cost (who is paying for the materials?).

As for a specific price...I don't know. It is all about what is reasonable in your area.
