How does Richard Diebenkorn create a sense of depth and distance in his landscape paintings?

1. Richard Diebenkorn uses strong perspective lines, often accompanied by horizontal lines which become closer higher up the canvas. Even in his more abstract works perspective lines were quite often found.

2. Aerial perspective (the lightening and fading of more distant objects) is also found in some works, such as "Invented Landscape".

3. In works like "Marin landscape"  relative size is used - distant objects are pictured considerably smaller and are compacted together.
