Organizing Committee of Global Peace Tour of World-famous Artists With Their Drawings, in short Peace Tour. It’s a non-government organization supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affair and Ministry of Culture in China, which engaged in international cultural exchange. Since it was founded on 2003, Peace Tour has aimed to “protect the common cultural heritage of mankind, promote the international community to peace and development". With the platform of international art exchange, it has participated in the communication with foreign officials, entrepreneurs, artistes and charity activities for several times. Peace Tour has visited over 10 countries in Europe and Asia, awarded honorary titles of “Peace Art Ambassador” and “Peace Art Master” to more than 50 times. It gives significant impact to our non-government cultural exchange.
December 2005, it was the first visit of Peace Tour to Cambodia, the highest courteous treatment was given by the Kingdom of Cambodia.
February 2006, a joint exhibition of fine arts of artists from China and Cambodia –“Cambodia Impression” was held in Lingluxuan Gallery, Shanghai
October 2006, Peace Tour delegation visited Russia, and caused a sensation to the Russia art circles.
September 2009, Peace Tour delegation visited the Republic of Kyrgyzstan for the cultural exchange.
October 2009, Peace Tour delegation visited Russia again
April 2010, sketching activities of “Silk Road—Peace Tour” international artists were held in Shanghai, Suzhou, Yangzhou etc.
June 2010, “Silk Road—Peace Tour” delegation composed of over 40 artists from member states of Shanghai Cooperation and Bengal for large scale cultural communication visited Uzbekistan, and “Silk Road—Peace Tour” Art exhibition was held in the modeling gallery of art in the famous museum of Uzbekistan.
December 2010, Peace Tour delegation visited south-east Asia countries include Cambodia, Laos and Singapore
April 2011, sketching activities of “Respect Civilization Diversity, Promote Peace Development—10th Anniversary of the Founding of Shanghai Organization” were held in Shanghai, Hangzhou etc.
June 2011, Peace Tour delegation composed of Chinese outstanding artists visited Kazakhstan, this tour is presented as a special gift for the 10th anniversary of the founding of Shanghai Cooperation, and the opening ceremony of Peace Tour Painting Exhibition—China Kazakhstan energy expo was held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana.
September 2011, “Peace September” sketching activities of Peace Tour international artists were held in Harbin, and Yichun city.
December 2011, “Graceful Xiaozhuang, Image of Songyang” sketching activities of Peace Tour international artists were held in Najing of Jiangsu Province, Lishui and Songyang of Zhejiang Province, China
It has been 10 years for the development of Peace Tour related activities, started with the exploring from the beginning, until the standardizations of procedures. The team of Peace Tour is continuously growing and exercising. The activities held are highly recognized by the societies, and the global influence is improved day after day. We do believe that non-government exchange serves as a bridge for the spiritual communication between nations; it will become the solid base for the long-term development of the relations between China and foreign countries, and more contributions to the cooperation between China and other countries in the world.
