Profoundly. Both emphasize living in harmony with nature, and you can see this in the harmonious composition of Chinese art and the fact that the subject matter is overwhelmingly landscapes. The insignificance of the individual is demonstrated by their absence from many paintings and their tiny size in the paintings where people are shown.
