Turn tiles in your bathroom space into mini masterpieces with hand painting. Purchase ceramic craft paint indicated for use on tiles, and use a detail brush to add decoration to these tiles. Place a different design on each tile, but keep with a central theme to ensure that your bathroom decorative additions are cohesive. For example, if your bathroom features floral accents, paint different flowers on each tile. Though there are paints intended for use on finished tile, this paint won't stand up to wear as well as others, so place your paintings on tile sections that are unlikely to get much wear, avoiding high-traffic flooring and other heavy-wear spots.
2
Stencil designs on your tile. Many people appreciate the uniformity of tiles. If you hope to create decorated tiles that still fit together seamlessly, add your decoration with uniformity-producing stencils. Select a stencil that fits the theme of your bathroom, such as a leaf stencil for an earth-toned space. Using this stencil and paint approved for use on tile, add the feature you select to tiles already mounted on your wall or tiles that are not yet mounted. Tape the stencil onto the tile you wish to stencil first. Using a foam craft brush or sponge, fill the stencil opening with paint. Create a pattern for your placement, or stencil seemingly at random to dress up your tiles.
3
Dress up your tiles with vinyl wall decals. Select wall decals small enough to fit entirely on one of your tiles. Purchase as many as you would like to place in your space, and position them on your tiles. Although these decals can stand up moderately well to humidity, you should generally avoid placing them directly in a shower as this constant barrage of steam may shorten their lives.

Use your tiles as backdrop for a mural. Instead of decorating each tile as an individual unit, decorate the wall as a whole with a relaxing and perfect-for-the-bathroom mural. Using craft paint intended for use on tiles, create a mural featuring an outdoor scene or any other scene you feel is fitting. Instead of painting only on the tiles, paint on the grout as well, creating a cohesive mural that covers the entire expanse of your wall space.
