Style: late Byzantine style 
 
Theme: the majority of El Greco’s paintings were religious in theme 
 
Movement: he is considered to be one of the artistic geniuses of the Spanish Renaissance. 
 
Influences: El Greco seems to have borrowed of his style from Titian, the painter from whom he studied, and was more likely influenced by Italian painters Bassano, Veronese and Tintoretto:
