Based on your study of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Petrarch, and Machiavelli in this lesson consider their achievements in light of the perspectives of historians Burckhardt, Haskins, and Kristeller.

I don't quit understand what my teacher is saying when she says "Consider their achievements in light of the perspectives of..."
Does anyone understand this? It's due Friday and she will not respond to my email.

Each of the three historians had a certain way of looking at the Renaissance. The instructor wants you look at each of the historical figures as Burckhardt would, as Haskins, or as Kristeller would. For example, Nicolo Machiavelli... Burckhardt would say that in order to understand Machiavelli by taking all of his literary works, and not just The Prince, but his works on Livy, as well as his station in life, to take all of this in context and what would Burckhardt say about Machiavelli.
