Can I use both acrylic paint and watercolor paint on the same painting?

I have 12 colors of both sets of paint and the watercolor has a few different colors Id like to use. I know I can mix different colors of acrylic to make a new color but I was wondering if I could just use the watercolor insted. Will you be able to tell the diffrence in paints on my picture? Would it be ok to use both or should I just use one or the other?

Acrylic and watercolor have *very* different appearances. Each is ok but they absolutely do not compliment each other.
