What painting is this detail from?

I found this lovely painting of Saint Pope Gregory the Great, or at least that is who the poster claims it is of. It is a very intricate, and I assume it is a detail of the painting. So with that said, it must be part of a large painting, or at least it appears that way.

I have searched Pope Gregory and I have not found any other piece like this, so I am assuming that it is not of Pope Gregory, but a different Pontiff. If someone could help me out by figuring out if it is a detail and what painting it is from, or who you think the artist is. The link of the painting is below.
