Hi, i just got back from a trip to China where i brought these two original paintings, but they are painted on rice paper and i am just wondering where could i go to get them framed. I live in New Orleans, LA and i haven't found any place near me. But if you know a web-site that i could go to or some place that i could go to that would help me out a whole lot. Thank you.

Try to see if there is a Michael's in your area. As far as I know, all of their stores have framing departments. You could drop off the paintings and choose a matting color and frame design and they'll get them finished in about a day or so. (I looked it up and there are two in near NOLA:
1. 1200 S Clearview Pkwy, Ste 1302
Harahan LA 70123-2390
Distance: 6.37 miles
2. 8851 Veterans Memorial Blvd
Metairie LA 70003-5278
Distance: 9.59 miles)

Also, if you wanted to do it yourself you could find a local art supply store; they should have frames available.

Find a frame shop like Michael's or a locally owned place. Don't go to Hobby Lobby. Please. Your rice paper paintings are very fragile and will need to be framed using preservation techniques. Most frame shops offer only acid-free matting anyway. You should consider having the framer do a top-mount--this looks very nice with rice paper art (Just ask the framer, he or she will know). Also make sure to get conservation glass which will keep the art from fading and deteriorating. Good luck!
