Hi! Somebody took some liberty with this cover. It is 'almost' the identical painting as 'The Kiss' by Francesco Hayez. The figures are identical but the work has been cropped, I would imagine, to enhance the mystique of the male character in the story line and things have been added.. a tree, foliage, the color of her dress Do you have the book? Look on the back cover. It should give credit for the artwork.
