hello,
I like to research artworks and find out about secrets or stories hidden withing paintings. My sister told me that in Edvard Munch's "Scream" or "Cry" there is a significance of the two people in the background. Can anybody give me a link to where I can find more info. And if anyone can, please let me know the story behind Munch's "Night at St. Cloud's".

The artist wrote:
“ I was walking along a path with two friends—the sun was setting—suddenly the sky turned blood red—I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence—there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city—my friends walked on, and I stood there trembling with anxiety—and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature. „
—Edvard Munch
The volcanic eruption of Krakatoa happened at the same time as he painted 'Scream', also his sister was in a mental institution at Ekeberg where the picture is supposed to be of, and also the artist had visited an exhibition of a mummy, that many think look like the subject.
