This painting depicts the Filipino tradition of "Bayanihan," which roughly translates to "group effort" but means more than that. Bayanihan spirit is a long cherish tradition of town-folks getting together to perform specific task for their neighbor without expecting any form of compensation. They are only motivated by their sense of community and oneness with their fellow town-mate who needs help. The painting shows town-folks helping out relocate the native house of a neighbor.
