Can anybody tell me any artists that explore illness or suffers from illness themselves?

I dont want any authors, or anybody to do with theatre. I would like artists who focus on portraits but any type will do

I know its not what your looking for, but I'm gonna say it anyway. Ian Curtis. Very few people sufferfed as much he did, and he transformed his suffering into incredible lyrics. Like Van Gogh, he eventually commited suicide.
