The full topic is actually 'How did the painting by Picasso’s Mademoiselle d’Avignon show that modern art can be a two- way dialogue between different cultures?'. I just need some little points about it so I can research about it even further. To be honest, I don't really get the question. Can anybody explain the question?

I would ask your teacher to explain the project. Anything can be used as a dialogue between cultures as long as the two cultures understand the signs used in the body of work. That painting by Picasso borrows african motives, the faces look like masks which is a motive that Picasso used a lot in his career.
