What is the effect the paintings of Winslow Homer has had on you?

I am writing a paper on Winslow Homer's art and I would really like to involve opinions of other people in my paper. What has he painted that has helped you grow as a person or inspire you?

As a watercolor painter, Homer's Caribbean watercolors validates my choice of watercolor as my medium of choice. They are the epitome of what watercolor painting is about. They display sureness of the artist's hand and mind and are simply unmatched by anyone in art history using that medium.
