Unfortunately. Da Vinci did very little for history. He was proven to be a first class genius in many fields, but they were mostly 'after the fact'. This was due to the obtuseness of the Catholic Church in Italy, where advances had to be approved by the Pope. That is why, Protestant nations such as England and Germany emerged while Catholic nations such as Spain, France and Italy lagged. Looking back, Da Vinci's ideas were centuries before his time, but not fully recognized. What a shame!!!
